This time skilful driving matters more than just speed, as the obstacles included carry you off to the heart of the desert, with all the complications this involves. This is why the cars feature four-wheel drive and a pick-up guide with an extra-long pivoting arm to enable you to get over obstacles of all kinds, including dunes, ramps, oasis and bridges. SCX has put a lot of care into the details, to further enhance the feeling of being in the heart of the desert; the borders are eye-catching, with their rounded shapes and rocks. Luc was one of the most famous downhill skiers of all time before exchanging snow for sand to drive in the Dakar rally. In 2005 he came in second place overall and in 2006 he conquered the Dakar after competing in the fifteenth and final stage, finishing at Senegal’s Pink Lake.
