These cabinets were used back in the seventies when AFX cars were sold in hobby stores and hardware stores. I remember looking at new car models through the front of this same style cabinet in our hardware/hobby store about 35 years ago. These are very hard to find today. It holds up to 60 boxed cars. I've had this one for approximately 15 years and used it to display all of my NOS and Mint in box AFX cars. This Cabinet is in great condition, but has some minor problems. The top right corner has a small piece missing ( appx. one inch long by one quarter inch deep ), and has a few minor indents on the left, front edge and the clear plastic front is not the best fit ( from the factory ), although I'm sure with a little effort it could be repositioned to fit. The cabinet needs very little attention to make it near flawless. I have seen other cabinets like this, and all of them have similar flaws. This same cabinet in mint condition with shipping box sells for nearly $600.00 on ebay. Here is a chance to own one for far less and display all of your AFX cars in. On Dec-01-08 at 21:15:04 PST, seller added the following information:While moving the cabinet to a new location I noticed that the outer edges of the face of the cabinet are not perfect. The cabinet edges are a little rough in more than a few places. This doesn't take away from the nice looks of the front of the cabinet, but when you look closely you can see it around the outside front edges. Nothing broke other than what has been described in the original description. I just want to make perfectly clear to all bidders that you have the best description possible. I want everyone who purchases an item from me to be happy with their new purchase.
