The cars do not have a scratch to be found, the whole set looks like it was set up at Christmas taken down and put away in the closet. The only thing I could find wrong with it is one of the contolers has a piece broken where the return spring attaches you might be able to rig it to work with a little imagination, it works but you have to pull it up to slow down, so a replacement would be the best way to go, there are tons of upgrades available at www.carrera-toys.com the rest is in great  shape. Includes track to set up like shown in photo, lap counter, finish line, both controlers one is fine other has noted problem, transformer for power, Instruction sheet and catalog booklet.
